Master’s Thesis Award

Each year NAGS recognizes an outstanding master’s thesis that has been produced by a student at one of its member institutions. Nominees must have received the master’s degree within three years preceding the year of competition.

The $1000 award is presented at the annual meeting. The recipient is invited to attend the meeting as a guest of the Association.

All member institutions in good standing are invited to submit nominations. There can be only one nominee from each institution.

Nomination materials, which should be transmitted by the Graduate Dean, include the thesis/dissertation, a 300 word abstract in lay language, three letters of evaluation each explaining the original contribution to the field made by the dissertation, and a copy of the nominee’s resume or CV.

Doctoral Dissertation Award

Each year NAGS recognizes an outstanding dissertation that has been produced by a Ph.D. candidate at one of its member institutions. Nominees must have received the doctoral degree within five years preceding the year of competition.

The $1000 award is presented at the annual meeting. The recipient is invited to attend the meeting as a guest of the Association.

All member institutions in good standing are invited to submit nominations. There can be only one nominee from each institution.
